Is ReceiptRaven an accounting app?

No. We capture and remember receipts, then hand them to your accounting tool. There are no ledgers or books to manage here — we do the one thing your accountant wishes you’d do.

How does it actually read a receipt?

Snap a photo, forward an email, or scan a QR. The raven extracts merchant, total, tax, and date automatically and files it — and it never invents a value. If something can’t be read, it flags the gap instead of guessing.

Is my financial data safe? Do you connect to my bank?

Only if you want us to. Bank connections are optional, you turn them on, and they’re read-only — ReceiptRaven can list transactions to spot purchases that are missing a receipt, but it can never move your money. Receipt data is encrypted, and you can export or delete everything anytime.

Can I use it for both personal and business?

Yes. Keep home and work receipts apart but managed together — the card you paid with decides where each receipt routes. Toggle Personal / Business at the top to see each side.

What can I connect it to?

Any email inbox, QuickBooks, Mercury, and your own REST endpoint today — with more connectors on the way. There’s always CSV export for anything else.
